It is really what gets me up and out into the world every day.

I have always been fascinated by the architecture of bridges and the way they connect places and things in a literal sense. I was challenged by a mentor to select a metaphor for "my" learning path.
I choose "bridges."
The background picture represents my learning path. I absolutely plan where I am headed, but much of the "learning" that lies ahead is actually yet to be discovered, somewhere in the mist.

When I enrolled in graduate school in the fall of 2011, I had set my goal, an MSc. in Kinesiology. I assumed that I would then pursue a career in sport management. I had no idea that my "curiosity" in learning would change my path and lead to the pursuit of a PhD. and a movement into population health and wellness.
The diversity of my learning environments support and energize my commitment to life long learning.
I am actively engaged in the world around me!
